référencement Heaven And Hell, LP, Album, LPL1-5110. Vangelis' first album made at Nemo Studios in London on the RCA Label. A symphonic and choral synthesiser work, it's bombastic and yet sublimely beautiful in many places. An except from Side 1 ended up as the theme song for the TV series Cosmos which made Vangelis almost a household name and propelled sales of the the album. Répondre Notifiez moi Helpful.

Heaven and Hell is a studio album by Greek electronic composer Vangelis, released in December 1975 on RCA Records. In 1975, Vangelis moved to London where he set up his own Nemo Studios. The album was his first record made at the studio.

While it did provide us with the theme music for the TV series Cosmos and bring Jon Anderson into partnership with Vangelis (following an abortive approach to Vangelis joining Yes) on "So Long Ago, So Clear," it also served up massed Gothic choirs and a musical depiction of all the tortures of the damned, with an impressive amount of string-driven shrieking.

Exclusively for Prime members. Sample this album Artist - Artist (Sample). 1. 30. Heaven and Hell, Pt. I. by Vangelis;Jon Anderson. Vangelis was about 10 years into his career when he made this album and about 4 from winning an Oscar for his "Chariots of Fire" soundtrack. In my opinion, this is the keystone work in his library. As a concept piece, Heaven & Hell successfully evokes emotions in the listener. Good, bad, beautiful, ugly, happy, and sad. It's all here and is impressive in its scope.
